HCM City adds Lunar New Year fireworks display locations

Ho Chi Minh City has added District 7 and Binh Tan District as new locations for Lunar New Year fireworks displays, taking to 11 the total number throughout the city.

Two of the 11 locations will feature high-level fireworks displays, namely the Saigon River Tunnel area in Thu Duc City and the Ben Duoc Memorial Temple area in Cu Chi District.

For the remaining nine locations, low-level fireworks will be displayed.

They are Dam Sen Park in District 11, the revolutionary traditional area of the general offensive and uprising of 1968 Mau Than Spring in Binh Chanh District, Rung Sac Square in Can Gio District, the Ben Noc Memorial Temple in Thu Duc City, Cultural Park in Go Vap District, the Nga Ba Giong Historical Site in Hoc Mon District, Public Administration Center’s Square in District 7, Binh Tri Dong residential area in Binh Tan District, and Cultural House in Cu Chi District.

In previous years, HCM City held 15-minute fireworks shows at six locations, commencing at midnight.
