The “Asia World” programme of Japan’s NHK on July 26 focused on the way of making traditional lotus tea and how Vietnamese people enjoy the drink.

This kind of tea is currently sold in Japan and has drawn much attention from Japanese customers. Many Japanese tourism companies have launched tours for Japanese travellers to see and practise the way Vietnamese households choose the best quality lotus tea.

The advertising of national traditional specialties like lotus tea to international friends and travellers will help promote cultural exchanges and mutual understanding between Vietnam and other countries in the world, according to NHK.
