Vietnam celebrates 3rd International Yoga Day (June 21)

VOV.VN - In 2015, the United Nations declared June 21 as International Yoga Day, supported by 190 countries. This year, Vietnam, along with the rest of the globe, once again celebrates International Yoga Day, on a massive scale.

This year's festivities for the third International Day of Yoga promises to be a grand visual spectacle that will find more than 7,000 gather at 7pm Saturday (June 17) for a program organized at the Ly Thai To Park in Hanoi next to Sword Lake, reports the HanoiMoi Online Newspaper.

At the event, these participants will perform yoga on mats under the guidance of trained masters and ministers from India. Other knowledgeable experts will be on hand to answer questions on various yoga poses, meditation and breathing exercises.

In addition, similar programs and question and answer sessions are scheduled to be held at numerous venues located in nine cities throughout the country including colleges, schools and universities, reports HanoiMoi.
