Vietnamese film screened in Brussels

A film about Vietnamese expatriates in Eastern Europe in the 1980s was screened at the EU Parliament headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, on June 22.

Directed by Nguyen Phan Quang Binh, the film “Quyen” gives insights into the difficult life of Vietnamese expats during the period. Protagonists, including Quyen, Hung and Dung, see their fates intertwine through many ups and downs.

The screening, co-organised by the Vietnam Embassy in Belgium and the EU-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group, gathered a crowd of European parliamentarians, Vietnamese expatriates and students.

It is part of the working plan of the EU-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group in 2016.
