Culture VOV hosts Book Week 2021 Monday, 19:28, 12/04/2021 VOV.VN - Voice of Vietnam (VOV) opened Book Week 2021 on April 12 at the National Broadcasting Center to mark the upcoming Vietnam Book Day on April 21. The event features the participation of VOV President Nguyen The Ky, in addition together VOV leaders and staff. Upon addressing the opening ceremony, VOV President Nguyen The Ky highlights the importance of reading culture and getting into habits such as reading, adding that the festival is a great opportunity for VOV reporters and editors to exchange and develop a reading culture. He also suggests that books should be shared across digital platforms in order to allow young people to easily access valuable knowledge via their smartphones or tablets. On display at the occasion are over 300 books on various topics, such as journalism, social politics, history, literature, and life science. As part of the occasion, retired staff from VOV also raise a charitable fund through selling books at the event. Book lovers visiting the event also have the chance to access a range of valuable documents which record a glorious aspects of the national history and VOV through numerous articles and touching stories which are being kept at VOV Library.
