Draft law on SMEs support under NA discussion

VOV.VN - The National Assembly Standing Committee on October 6 discussed a draft law on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The Drafting Committee said the law aims to protect SMEs in accordance with the market regulations and international conventions that Vietnam has joined.

With six chapters and 47 articles, the bill is designed to enhance the efficiency of support for SMEs in line with market principles while ensuring that it does not violate the country’s international commitments and creating a legal framework to rally public support of the effort, the law drafting board said.

NA Vice Chairman Phung Quoc Hien said the Standing Committee supports the development of SMEs as they generate momentum for national economic growth.

The same day, the National Assembly Standing Committee discussed the draft law on Planning and preparation for the 2nd session of the 14th National Assembly.
