Canadian firms seek investment opportunities in Binh Dinh
VOV.VN - A trade promotion conference was held on March 28 in the south-central province of Binh Dinh to help Canadian businesses explore investment opportunities in the locality.
Addressing the event, Pham Anh Tuan, chairman of the provincial government, emphasised that Binh Dinh has exerted great efforts to improve the local business climate and strive to become an ideal destination for both domestic and foreign investors.
The province is focused on developing the infrastructure system of transportation and industrial zones clusters in a bid to continue attracting financiers, he said.
Tuan also called on Canadian firms to inject capital into the locality’s five key areas: industry, tourism, high-tech agriculture, port and logistics services, and the urban economy.
Most notably, priority will be given to projects which make use of modern and environmentally friendly technologies, efficiently use resources, and products that enjoy highly competitive advantages.
Moreover, the province will also call for organising international sports, trade, tourism, and cultural events as a means of developing its economic and marine sports sectors.
To date, Binh Dinh has attracted two Canadian-invested projects valued at US$2.72 million in the garment sector.
