First luxury aircraft exhibition to be held in Vietnam
VOV.VN - The first ever luxury aircraft exhibition (Airshow 2022) is scheduled to be held at Van Don International Airport in the northern province of Quang Ninh on November 5 – 6.
The event is being co-organised by Gulfstream, the world's most luxurious airline, and Sun Air by real estate and entertainment firm Sun Group.
The airshow is to bring together the world's fastest, safest, and most comfortable aircraft from luxury carrier Gulfstream, marking an important milestone in the development of the premium aviation segment, as well as international trade and luxury tourism in Vietnam.
The exhibition will give visitors the chance to witness two of Gulfstream’s legendary aircraft - the G600 and G650ER - both of which have won several awards in the aviation field, and the debut of the Gulfstream G700 jetliner in Vietnam.
Wayne Oedewalt, vice president of Gulfstream’s Asia Pacific, said Vietnam has been emerging strongly and has fully demonstrated its potential for continuous growth in the aviation industry.
He went on to express his pride at accompanying Sun Air in its journey of providing the best experience for passengers in the Vietnamese market, noting that these are the reasons for the group’s selection of Vietnam as the first destination in a series of activities which will introduce the G700 to the Asian market.
Reiner Suess, operations director of Sun Air, emphasised that Gulfstream's selection of Van Don as the destination to hold its own aircraft exhibition highlights that Vietnam represents a potential market for the high-end aviation industry.
The air show not only shows the increasing demand for high-class flight services, but also affirms the country’s position as part of the international arena, he added.
Most notably, the event is anticipated to create favourable conditions to promote international trade exchanges, thereby attracting greater foreign investment and more businesses to the nation, he noted.
The event also affirms that Vietnam has become a new luxury destination in the global market, and it serves as a bridge to elevate the nation’s image to the wider world, said Dang Minh Truong, chairman of the Board of Directors of Sun Group.
