Peruvian Coffee Week to be held in Vietnam for first time

VOV.VN - A wide range of activities will be held during the Peruvian Coffee Week which is scheduled to be held from April 8 to April 15 for the first time in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, according to the Embassy of Peru in Vietnam.

The event aims to introduce and promote Peruvian specialty coffee to local consumers, as well as coffee importers and exporters in Vietnam.

The Embassy will introduce six specialty coffees from four famous producers, aiming to develop the product in the Vietnamese market. It will also be participating in the International Coffee Exhibition (CafeShow 2023) held in Ho Chi Minh City, with a pavilion introducing premium coffee beans.

It is hoped that the Peruvian Coffee Week will attract coffee-lovers, professional baristas, roasters, and representatives of coffee shops from the two major cities, as well as those from foreign coffee importers and exporters, said the embassy.

According to statistics, Peru is the leading producer and exporter of organic coffee, and the ninth largest coffee exporter in the world. Last year, Peru earned more than US$3 million from shipping coffee to Vietnam.
