Safe farm produce and regional specialties on display in Hanoi
VOV.VN - A wide range of products from craft villages with geographical indications and the agroforestry and seafood sectors in Vietnam are being showcased at a safe farm produce fair, which opened in Hanoi on the evening of August 22.
Dao Van Ho, director of the Trade Promotion Centre for Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, said visitors to the fair will be able to purchase and savour many kinds of special agricultural products and unique goods from the northern province of Lang Son and other localities across the country.
It also offers a good opportunity for businesses and localities to promote their products and brand names by sharing hands-on experience, expanding partnership, and securing investment in potential fields.
Lang Son provincial leaders said Chi Lang district is a dedicated custard apple growing zone with an area of nearly 1,600ha and annual productivity of more than 15,000 tons.
In recent times, local growers have paid due attention to improving the quality of their products. Since early July, a large volume of Chi Lang custard apples have been consumed both at home and abroad thanks to trade promotion activities.
During the six-day event running until August 28, there will be a trade conference on supply-demand connectivity and Lang Son farm produce, and a conference to promote Vietnamese products with geographical indications.
