Son La boosts trade promotion activities for exports of farm produce

VOV.VN - The northwestern province of Son La has organised an array of trade promotion activities aimed at boosting the export of its farm produce.

Opening the series of events will be “Son La Longan and Safe Farm Produce Week” which be held from July 17-27 at Big C Thang Long in Hanoi and from August 8-19 in Son La province.

Similar events are scheduled to be held in LotteMart in Hanoi from July 24-28 and in HaproMart from July 26-31.

In addition, the Song Ma Longan Festival 2019 will take place from August 2-3 in Song Ma district of Son La, featuring a number of stalls to introduce the province’s safe farm produce.

Investment and tourism promotion activities in the province will take place on August 5 in Hanoi, in mid-July in Quang Ninh, and from August 21 to August 25 in Son La.

Trade promotion activities are aiming to boost the consumption of farm produce and longan products among both domestic and foreign markets, enhance connectivity, and ensure the consumption of 73,000 tons of longan in the 2019 crop.

These activities will allow both businesses and co-operatives to strengthen connectivity and introduce their farm produce to consumers in Hanoi and provinces nationwide as well as calling on businesses and investors to further invest in producing, processing, and exporting farm produce in the locality.
