Vietnam AutoExpo 2019 to transpire during June in Hanoi

VOV.VN - The 16th Vietnam International Exhibition on Automobile & Transportation and Supporting Industry (Vietnam AutoExpo 2019) is set to take place from June 12-15 in Hanoi.

The exhibition has been co-organised by the Institute for Industrial Policies and Strategies under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam Society of Automotive Engineers, and CIS Vietnam Advertising &Exhibition Co. Ltd.

According to organisers, 2018 saw the nation’s economy record its highest growth rate over the past ten years with GDP growth projected to hit 7% in 2019. This is a positive sign for the automobile market, particularly with regards to commercial vehicles.

Statistics released by the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association (VAMA) have shown that during the last year, automobile sales of VAMA members surged by nearly 6% to reach 288,683 units.

Most notably, the sales of domestically-assembled automobiles increased nearly 11 per cent whilst imported ones decreased over 6% on-year.

In fact, businesses related to manufacturing and assembly have injected their own money into the automobile market to meet the demand for travel, construction, and development of the national economy.

Products from the country’s supporting industry are predicted to improve upon their competitiveness and meet 45% of the essential needs for domestic production and consumption by 2020.

Vietnam AutoExpo will provide a venue for automobile and motorbike businesses, along with the country’s supporting industry, to launch new products, seek partners and clients, and spur the development of technology and products within the sector.

This year’s event will attract the participation of a range of popular domestic and foreign brands such as Veam Motors, Gaz Group, KC Motors, Daewoo, Faw, Dongfeng, Hyundai, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Triumph and Royal Enfield, along with several brands in the supporting industry including Dunlop, Elig, Timsun, Vietmap, Bosch, Philips, CNC Hanoi, HJC, and Daichi.

Organizers said this year’s event is expected to attract 35,000 visitors.
