Gia Lai to build US$64 million solar power plant

VOV.VN - The Central Highlands Gia Lai province People’s Committee has approved the project to build the Krong Pa Solar Power Plant in Chu Gu village, Krong Pa district with Gia Lai Electricity JSC as the investor.

The 49MW plant will be built on an area of 76ha at a cost of US$64 million to generate and distribute solar power. It will operate for 50 years.

Construction of the plan will start in the first quarter of next year and complete in the second quarter of 2019.

The People’s Committee asked the investor to develop an environment protection plan to submit it to relevant authorities for approval.

The Committee will withdraw the decision according to investment regulations if the investor fails to implement the project or is unable to implement it as scheduled after 12 months as from the date of receiving the investment decision.
