Vietnam and Dominica ink visa exemption agreement
VOV.VN - Vietnam and Dominica have signed an agreement on visa exemption for diplomatic and official passport holders.
The document was signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam Bui Thanh Son and Minister for Planning, Economic Development, Climate Resilience, Sustainable Development, and Renewable Energy of Dominca Vince Henderson.
The signing took place in New York on September 22 on the sidelines of the ongoing 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During their meeting ahead of the signing ceremony, the two ministers emphasized the need to further strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Dominica.
To this end, the two sides will increase visit exchanges, encourage their businesses to increase connections, and speed up negotiations towards signing a number of agreements on double tax avoidance, investment promotion, science-technology, education and agriculture.
The two sides will strengthen coordination and mutual support at multilateral forums, especially at the United Nations, as well as other multilateral forums and international organizations.
They will also boost cooperation between Vietnam and countries in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) as well as between Dominica and ASEAN countries.
