Party Central Committee discusses personnel matters
VOV.VN - The Party Central Committee examined personnel matters at its ongoing 13th session in Hanoi on October 8, with Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in the chair.
Delegates discussed the Politburo’s proposals on the nomination of candidates for the posts of the Minister of Science and Technology and the Minister of Public Health, and for the Party Central Committee and its Inspection Commission in the upcoming tenure.
They wrote down their recommendation on candidates for the posts of the two ministers, and wrote in the votes to nominate candidates for the Party Central Committee and its Inspection Commission.
Minister of Science and Technology Chu Ngoc Anh has been appointed as Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, and then elected as Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee. The upcoming session of the National Assembly, due to meet later this month, will dismiss Anh from his post and vote a new minister on the Prime Minister’s request.
Meanwhile, the National Assembly dismissed Nguyen Thi Kim Tien from the post of Minister of Health in November 2019. Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long was assigned by the Prime Minister to temporarily take over the helm.
