Personnel related issues under discussion as Party Congress continues

VOV.VN - The 13th National Party Congress continued discussions on January 29 on matters relating to personnel affairs during the plenary session which is underway in Hanoi.

This comes after the congress spent January 28 discussing and voting on measures to approve 200 members to make up the Party Central Committee, including 180 official and 20 alternative members.

Ahead of the 13th National Party Congress, Nguyen Thanh Binh, member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Party Central Committee's Organisation Commission, had outlined the need to review strategic-level personnel planning for the 2016 to 2021 tenure and subsequent terms.

Indeed, the Politburo had directed the building and implementation of a plan on building a scheme for the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Party Secretariat, and key leadership posts of the Party and State for the 2021 to 2026 term. This thereby keeps up with the spirit of ensuring democracy, closeness, synchronicity, objectiveness, and transparency.

Most notably, individuals included in the personnel planning scheme for the Party Central Committee had attended five knowledge training classes designed for strategic-level officials. As such, they can be viewed as crucial human resources for the preparation of personnel work for the congress, Binh said.

With the 13th National Party Congress getting underway from January 25 to February 2, a total of 1,587 delegates representing more than five million Party members from across the nation have descended on the capital to participate in the event.
