Vietnam, Cuba conclude 34th inter-governmental meeting

VOV.VN - Vietnam and Cuba have ended the 34th session of the bilateral inter-governmental meeting in Havana. 

Delegates signed 3 agreements on economic, scientific and technical cooperation in the presence of Vietnamese Minister of Construction Pham Hong Ha and Cuban Minister for Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca.

They pledged to sign a number of trade deals early next year.

In his speech, Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Rodrigo Malmierca said the meeting helped reinforce the traditional friendship between the two Parties, Governments and peoples.

Ha and Malmierca also inked a protocol on the bolstering of economic and trade partnership between the two countries, while witnessing the signing of agreements on the formation of a joint venture for production of flagstone and ceramics in Cuba.

At the signing ceremony, representatives from Viglacera of Vietnam and Islazul tourism group inked a cooperative agreement on upgrading several hotels in Cuba. Cuban Vaccine Filay also signed a deal to develop vaccine against typhoid with Vietnam’s Davac company.

Earlier, the Vietnamese delegation also had meetings with leaders of the Foreign Trade and Investment, Construction and Tourism Ministries

The 34th session aims to elevate bilateral economic ties on par with the close political ties between the two Parties and States.
