The two fights were put on after co-operation by Vietnamese authorities, the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei in coordination with Taiwanese competent agencies.
Ahead of the flight, the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei sent staff to the airport in an effort to assist the citizens with boarding procedures.
Furthermore, Bamboo Airways also implemented a string of strict security, safety, and epidemiological measures during the flight as a means of preventing the potential spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Upon landing at the Da Nang International Airport in the central province of Da Nang, all crew members and passengers underwent compulsory medical checkups and were placed into quarantine in line with regulations regarding COVID-19 prevention and control.
Moving forward, relevant Vietnamese agencies are in the process of arranging similar repatriation flights for citizens overseas who wish to return to home, with future flights depending on the epidemic containment situation and local quarantine capacity.
