Da Nang faces fresh lockdown as social distancing comes into force

VOV.VN - The central city of Da Nang officially applied social distancing measures July 28 midnight across six districts with a population of over 1 million, following a fresh coronavirus outbreak detected the city.

The lockdown measures apply to six districts, namely Hai Chau, Thanh Khe, Son Tra, Ngu Hanh Son, Cam Le, and Lien Chieu. Police erect barriers on Hai Phong and Quang Trung streets, two major roads that lead to the main entrance of the central city’s C Hospital.

The Da Nang administration has imposed the lockdown after 13 COVID-19 cases were detected in the locality recently.

The Government’s social distancing order has been extended to include three COVID-19 hotspots, the C Hospital, the Da Nang Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation Hospital, and the Da Nang Hospital.

The C Hospital is lit up at midnight after the lockdown measure is in place.
