Five killed in Lai Chau lorry crash
(VOV) -Five people have been killed in a truck accident in the northern Lai Chau Province's Than Uyen District.
The accident occurred on January 30 at around 16:40 when the driver of a truck transporting 4 passengers lost control causing it to veer off the road into a 10m-deep abyss.
Four occupants of the truck were killed instantly while the fifth was rushed to a local hospital and was pronounced dead a short time later.
Local police are conducting further investigations to clarify the cause of the accident.
