Greetings to Central Highlands Buddhists on Buddha’s birthday

Deputy head of the Steering Committee for the Central Highlands region H’Ngam Nie Kdam offered her greetings to Buddhist dignitaries and followers in the region on the occasion of Buddha’s 2560th birthday.

She expressed her hope that the dignitaries and followers will continue uniting and promoting the tradition of Vietnamese Buddhism, and building a prosperous Central Highlands.

Representatives from Buddhist establishments in Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Lam Dong and Dak Nong provinces encourage local Buddhists to follow the Party’s policies and the State’s laws, and maintain political security and social safety and order.

Vietnam is now home to more than 48,000 Buddhist monks and nuns who are practicing the religion in over 17,000 Buddhist worshipping sites with each receiving up to 1,000 followers annually.
