Mobile COVID-19 testing points reach full capacity in Da Nang

VOV.VN - A large number of mobile COVID-19 testing points have been rolled out in recent days across Da Nang in an effort to provide novel coronavirus (COVID-19) tests for local people in order to detect new cases in the community.

Mobile COVID-19 testing points and healthcare stations located throughout wards in the central city have been granted licenses to conduct rapid COVID-19 tests from August 1, with individuals suffering from symptoms such as a fever, cough, and a sore throat being given priority.

With the detection of fresh COVID-19 cases within a community, F1 and F2 contacts must subsequently be traced. Citizens are now all aware of the risks posed by the virus and strictly follow directions issued by the Government.

Mobile testing points have been set up in high-risk areas throughout the central city, with the majority being concentrated where a number of positive COVID-19 cases live.

All residents living on Nguyen Duy Hieu and Nguyen Thien Ke roads in An Hai Dong ward of Son Tra district have samples taken for a rapid COVID-19 test at mobile testing points on August 3.

Local residents are present at testing points from early in the morning, with many waiting in long queues.

Ngo Thi Kim Yen, director of Da Nang’s Department of Health, says a three-person team is capable for taking 300 samples each day, with the central city currently having 100 teams like this.
