Nearly 200 Vietnamese students welcomed to work experience in Japan

Nearly 200 third-year students majoring in nursing, tourism, education, business administration, electricity-electronics, information technology, and construction of Dong A University were received in Japan before they start their internship and work placement scheme.

The reception was secured by Japanese groups, companies, and businesses at the Japan-Vietnam Culture Exchange Festival and Japanese Job Day 2019 in the central coastal city of Da Nang on March 21.

Vice Rector of Dong A University Luong Minh Sam said the event aims to open up training programmes, develop high-quality human resources, and create job opportunities for Vietnamese students in Japan and other developed countries.

A workshop on Vietnam-Japan cooperation in human resources training was held as part of the event as well as other activities providing information on recruitments of Japanese businesses.

On the occasion, Japanese groups – namely Suganuma, Eiseikai, Aijinkai, and M&K -  presented 1,200 scholarships worth 12 billion VND for poor nursing students with good academic performances at the university.

The Vietnam-Japan culture exchange festival is set to feature Japanese art performance, Ikebana flower arrangement, Origami paper folding, calligraphy, painting, Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine, Japanese tea, and cosplay.
