New cold to send temperatures dropping to 10°C in northern Vietnam
VOV.VN - A cold air wave is poised to hit northern Vietnam on March 6 afternoon that will cause temperatures to plunge down to 15 to 18°C, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.
Temperatures are set to drop to 12 to 15°C in mountainous localities, or under 10°C in several high mountainous areas.
Over the coming days, temperatures in Hanoi are to continue dropping to 14-17°C due to the impact of the cold air, with some high-altitude locations even to record a low of 11°C.
Health experts warned, due to the current abnormal weather occurring in the northern region that alternates between hot and cold, elderly people, children, and those with respiratory diseases should monitor the weather forecast to take preventive measures.
