Nine-year-old girl wins silver medal at International Mathematical Olympiad

VOV.VN - Nine-year-old local girl Tran Pham Ngan Khanh successfully won a silver medal at the fourth Copernicus International Mathematical Olympiad held at Colombia University in New York, USA.

Ngan is an outstanding student from Ba Trieu Primary School in Hanoi. The Copernicus Olympiad is an international competition held for students from Grades 3 to 12. The purpose of the event is to increase students’ interest in science and related disciplines, as well as enhancing and developing their potential by honing their logical deduction abilities.

This is not the first time that Khanh has won a medal in international competitions. In April, she attended the final round of Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO) and grabbed a silver medal.

Khanh is good, not only at Maths, but is also talented at English. The Thai Nguyen-born girl previously won consolation prize at Teeneagle, an International English Language Competition for students from Grades 5 to 12 and was invited to compete at the final global round in London and Italy in October.
