Polish-built sailing ship for Vietnam Navy on sea trials
A full-rigged ship that the Vietnam Navy contracted to buy from Poland is currently undergoing trial run, according to the builder, Polish shipyard Marine Projects Ltd.

| The training vessel is named after Le Quy Don, a famous Vietnamese poet, philosopher and encyclopedist in the 18th century. |

| The ship is scheduled to arrive in Vietnam by the end of this month after a voyage around the Cape of Good Hope with a mixed Polish and Vietnamese crew onboard. |

| This will provide the Vietnamese sailors an opportunity for training before arrival at Nha Trang where the Vietnam Naval Academy is located. |

| The ship was designed by Poland’s Choreń Design & Consulting. The Vietnamese order placed in 2013 is being handled by Polish Defence Holding. |

| It was first built on July 2, 2014 and launched on June 1 this year. The contract includes the training of the Vietnamese crew. |
