Sapper forces check for bombs and mines ahead of DPRK-USA summit

VOV.VN - Security forces have stepped up activities with the aim of further strengthening security at venues in Hanoi where the DPRK-USA summit will take place.

In preparation for the DPRK-USA summit, security has been tightened at the International Media Centre. The venue on Tran Hung Dao street in Hanoi will be one of the most important venues for the summit.
Working under the Ministry of Defence,a mine detection team checks for bombs and mines in flower beds and bushes at the International Media Centre to ensure security for the summit.
A group of bomb detection forces with specialised equipment carefully checks for bombs in front of the centre.
If necessary, red flags will be planted after sapper forces detect something suspicious.
Thorough checks will be made on all suspected areas to prevent possible explosive materials or radioactive agents.
The International Media Centre is expected to welcome more than 3,000 international and domestic reporters covering the DPRK-USA summit

The second DPRK-USA summit will take place in Hanoi on February 27-28 with  security being heightened at all venues.
