Toyota Vietnam brings safe water to remote schools

VOV.VN - Nearly 3,700 students and teaching staff at nine schools in remote areas across Vietnam have benefited from clean water projects donated by Toyota Vietnam Foundation (TVF).

Initially launched in 2019, the project saw co-operation between Toyota Vietnam and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in an effort to build water filtration systems, well systems, and water tanks. These facilities have been installed at nine remote primary schools.

Tokyo Vietnam Foundation built clean water systemsin March at Da Rsal Primary School in Dam Rong district in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong and Song Loc A Primary School in Chau Thanh districtin the Mekong Delta province of Tra Vinh.

In April, it also donated well systems, filtration systems, and water tanks to Thi Tran Primary School in the northern province of Dien Bien, serving the needsof 600 teachers and students and other surrounding local households.

Nakano Keita, general director of Toyota Vietnam, said that the project aims to ensure the safety of drinking water for both students and teachers, ultimately contributing to bringing a better life to the communityas a whole. 

It also affirms TVF’s commitments to supporting sustainable development in Vietnam.
