Vietnam attends China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week 2022

VOV.VN - Vietnamese Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son on August 23 attended the opening ceremony of the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week 2022 which was virtually held in Guiyang City of China’s Guizhou Province.

The CAECW, the 15th of its kind, was attended by hundreds of delegates from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and host China, including Vice Premier Sun Chunlan who gave an online speech. In her speech, Sun highly appreciated the role of the CAECW in promoting educational exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN countries.

Addressing a round-table discussion as part of the week, Minister Nguyen Kim Son noted that the COVID-19 pandemic has over the past two years presented numerous challenges to the education sector, but it has also helped the sector ramp up digital transformation to suit the actual situation.

Pointing out digital transformation is closely linked with improving the quality of human resources, Minister Son called on delegates to share experience and strengthen cooperation in order to step up digital transformation toward common prosperity and development.

At the event, delegates highly valued the fruitful cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in the field of education over the years, especially since the inception of the China – ASEAN Education Cooperation Week in 2008.
