Vietnam ranks 9th in Asia in Global Innovation Index

VOV.VN - Vietnam has made a significant achievement in the Global Innovation Index 2017 (GII), ranking 47th out of 127 economies around the globe and 9th in Asia, leading the group of middle and lower-income economies.

The information was released by the Business School for the World INSEAD, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and Cornell University.

According to INSEAD, Vietnam ranks higher this year thanks to a number of important indicators of education, economy wide impact of investment, labour productivity growth, and foreign direct investment net inflows.

This is the highest ranking Vietnam has achieved in the GII rankings so far. The results have acknowledged great efforts by relevant ministries, agencies and localities in improving business climate and enhancing competitive capacity.
