Vietnam receives 62 deportees from China following illegal entry

VOV.VN - Sixty-two Vietnamese citizens who had stayed illegally in China were returned to Vietnamese authorities on January 19 at the Ly Van Border Gate in the northern province of Cao Bang.

The group were made up of 14 men and 48 women and were aged between 18 and 62, hailing from multiple localities nationwide such as Soc Trang, Tay Ninh, Hai Phong, Phu Tho, Lai Chau, Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Kien Giang, Ca Mau, Cao Bang, Lang Son, and Lao Cai.

The citizens admitted that they had all illegally entered China to work. They then were asked to complete procedures in accordance with legal regulations before being handed over to their respective localities.

The same day, border guards of Cao Bang province handed over two Chinese citizens to the Guangxi General Station of Immigration Inspection of China following their illegal entry into Vietnam.
