Vietnam wins big at Seoul International Invention Fair

VOV.VN - Vietnam claimed several high prizes on offer at the Seoul International Invention Fair 2022 (SIIF) which was recently held in the Republic of Korea (RoK).

The competition saw the country win one Grand Prize, two golds, two silvers, and one bronze.

Vietnam also won a special prize presented by the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA), the organiser of the fair, along with three international prizes by organisations from Malaysia, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia.

All of the wining inventions focus on different fields, namely mechanical automation, energy saving and the use of new energy, electronic information and telecommunications, technology aimed at responding to climate change, and environmental protection. This is along with the rational use of natural resources, biology for production and life, and materials technology.

The SIIF exhibition is held every two years by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the International Federation of Inventors' Associations (IFIA), the KIPA, and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO).

This year the event has attracted the participation of 500 inventions from 16 countries and territories across the world.
