Hoang Nam, Hoang Thien off to great start at Vietnam Futures

VOV.VN - Ly Hoang Nam and Nguyen Hoang Thien swept the doubles flights in the first round of the Vietnam Men’s Futures tennis tournament ongoing in the southern province of Binh Duong.

The Vietnamese players, duo seeded No. 4 at the tourney, got off to a slow start but emerged victorious over Canadian Kelsey Stevenson and Indonesian Anthony Susanto 6-7 (4), 6-2, 10-2 in the first-round matchup.

In the quarter-final round, they will next face off with Malaysian rivals Ahmed Deedat Abdul Razak and Mohd Assri Merzuri.

Meanwhile in earlier play both Nam and Thien also secured first round wins in the men’s single category after defeating Thai rival Kittiphong Wachiramanowong and M. Brooklyn from the UK respectively.
