Over 15,000 people join Lawrence S. Ting charity walk
More than 15,000 people took part in the Lawrence S. Ting 2019 charity walk in Phu My Hung Urban Area, District 7, HpCMC on January 12.

The event aimed to encourage people to be physically active and help other people.
This year’s event, co-organized by Phu My Hung Development Corporation and the authorities of districts 7, 8, Binh Chanh and Nha Be, raised VND3.13 billion for charitable activities.
Since it began in 2006, the Lawrence S. Ting walk has attracted 197,000 participants and raised more than VND32 billion from participating organizations, businesses and individuals.
The money has been donated to the funds for poor people of the above districts, the “Chung mot tam long” Fund run by HCM City Television, and the Sports Talent Support Fund of the HCMC Department of Culture and Sports.
The program has provided financial support to many needy people, gave them necessities, and build or repair houses.
