Squad numbers revealed for Vietnam’s U22 team ahead of SEA Games 30

VOV.VN -Head coach Park Hang-seo has named the squad numbers that each Vietnamese football player will take for the upcoming SEA Games 30.

Most notably, among the 21 players selected to take part in the tournament, no player has been allocated the number 10 shirt.

Hanoi FC’s goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung has been chosen to wear the number one shirt, while SC Heerenveen defender Doan Van Hau has been handed the number five shirt. Elsewhere Triet Viet Hung, Nguyen Trong Hoang, and Ha Duc Chinh will wear number seven, number eight, and number nine, respectively.

Vietnam’s captain for the SEA Games midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai will wear number 19, while the team’s vice captains, striker Nguyen Tien Linh and left back Do Thanh Thinh have been given the number 22 and number two shirts, respectively.

For the first round of the SEA Games 30, Vietnam’s U22 squad have been placed in Group B along with Brunei, Laos, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand.

The Vietnamese team are scheduled to take on Brunei in their first match on November 25.

Following the opening tie the team will play Laos on November 28, before competing against Indonesia on December 1.

Fixtures against Singapore and Thailand will take place on December 3 and December 5, respectively.

All of the team’s group stage matches will be held at the Imus Sports Arena, the Binan Football Stadium, and the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
