That wins first stage of Bình Dương cycling event
Nguyen Thi That won the first stage of the sixth Bình DươngInternational Women’s Cycling Tournament - Biwase Cup 2016 on March 8.
An Giang’s Thật took the lead in the 66km stage around Bình Dương City in the southern province of Binh Duong. That also won the yellow jersey for the best overall time.
Thailand’s Supuksorn Nuntana won the green jersey as the best sprinter.
The event drew eight local teams and six international ones from Thailand, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines.
The cyclists will join the nine-stage race that stretches nearly 900km across provinces such as Dong Nai, Lam Đong, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan.
