Vietnam comes up short at wrestling tourney in India

VOV.VN -The Vietnam women’s wrestling team came up short for a second-place finish at the 8th World Junior under 20 Kurash Championships (November 10-14) at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Kochi, India.

Overall the team won a total of two gold, three silver and one bronze medals.

Gold medals went to To Thi Thu Trang in the 48-kg class and Tran Thi Thanh Thuy in the 78-kg class while silver medals were earned by Do Thu Ha in the 48-kg class, Le Thi Tinh in the 57-kg class, and Do Thi Hoai Uyen in the 78-kg class.

A bronze medal was awarded to Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh in the 51-kg class.

The Uzbekistan team claimed first place while Iran ranked third at the competition that attracted 250 athletes from 19 countries.
