Vietnamese team holds first training session of the New Year
VOV.VN - The Vietnamese men’s football team took part in their first training session of 2019 in Qatar on January 2. The team received a welcome boost as there was no new injuries to report with the whole team being able to join in the practice session.

| After defeating the Philippines in a friendly match on December 31, the national team squad took time out on New Year’s Day to relax and welcome in 2019. |

| The squad were back to training on January 2 however in preparation for the Asian Cup 2019 finals. |

The entire team put in great efforts both physically and tactically. |

| The team had some good news as those who had previously been nursing injuries had recovered enough to return to the pitch. |

| Van Toan has recovered and played in the friendly match against the Philippines on December 31. During training, Trong Hoang took part in joint exercises alongside his teammates. |

| The Vietnamese players will have another training session at 10:30pm (Vietnam time) on January 3. |

| The Vietnamese team led by head coach Park Hang Seo will travel to the UAE to compete in the Asian Cup 2019 finals on January 4. |
