Vietnam Airlines adjusts flights in fear of super typhoon

Vietnam Airlines plans to adjust flights to and from Hong Kong (China) on September 16 and 17 to avoid impacts from Super Typhoon Mangkhut.
The affected passengers will be supported to change to other flights free of charge on the next day, the national flag carrier said on September 15.
Vietnam Airlines said it will keep a close watch on the weather situation to update its plan. It also advised passengers who plan to move to or from Hong Kong to update the weather forecast and the carrier’s announcement.

Mangkhut hit Cagayan province on Luzon Island, north of the Philippines, at 1:40 am of September 15, sustaining wind speeds of over 200km per hour. It is entering the East Sea and heading towards south China.
