Japan's Emperor and Imperial Family mourn late King of Thailand
Japan's Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko are mourning the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, the Imperial Household Agency has announced.
The Thai Royal Family and the Japanese Imperial Family have enjoyed a close relationship for more than half a century.
The Emperor and the Empress have known His Majesty King Bhumibol since they were Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Japan.
In the meantime, Prime Minister Shizo Abe of Japan has visited the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo to express his condolences and sign the condolence book.
