The Vietnam Asian Indoor Games Organising Committee (VAIGOC) has won the commercial contract to broadcast the Asian Indoor Games to be held in the country next year.

Under a contract signed in Hanoi on June 24, VAIGOC will pay US$2.5 million for the rights to manage, operate and exploit all broadcasting, marketing and advertising of the Games.

The VAIGOC will be entitled to pocket cash and kind up to the value of US$8.5 million.

Any exceeding amount will be divided between the VAIGOC and the Olympic Council of Asia with 66 per cent of additional revenues going to the local organisation.

The contract was signed by Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Chairman of the Vietnam Olympic Committee, Nguyen Danh Thai, and OCA President Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah.
