Chilean President Michel Bachelet has expressed her hope that Vietnam and Chile will soon sign their Free Trade Agreement (FTA) after the two sides have reached important agreements in negotiations.
At a meeting with Vietnamese Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan last Friday, the Chilean president said she was delighted at the development of bilateral relations in all aspects.
She also showed interest in Vietnam’s measures to cope with the impact of the ongoing global economic crisis.
Mrs. Doan, who is attending the 19th Global Women’s Summit in Chile, affirmed Vietnam’s determination to enhance multi-faceted co-operation with the Latin American country.
The same day, Vice President Doan attended the Vietnam-Chile business forum.VNS/VOVNews
