Vietnam plans EU tra distribution centre
(VOV) -The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP) and Belgium’s Zeebrugge Port have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on establishing a tra distribution centre for the European Union (EU).
VASEP said the MoU is part of a cooperative agreement representing the Vietnamese and Belgian Governments’ broader efforts at promoting seafood exports to the EU market.

Under the MoU, a centre will be built at Zeebrugge Port to receive, auction, and distribute Vietnamese tra products throughout the EU.
Zeebrugge CEO Joachim Coens says the port’s location between France’s Le Havre and Germany’s Hamburg makes it one of the European market’s leading seafood distribution centre.
Vietnamese vessels are expected to ship to Zeebrugge Port directly from 2014 to save time and reduce travel costs.
The centre’s planned online distribution and auction services will also create new trading channels for Vietnamese tra fish.
