Majestic Princess makes maiden call to Vietnam

VOV.VN - Princess Cruises’ newest vessel Majestic Princess made her maiden call in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on Friday (June 23).

Majestic Princess called into the port with roughly 3,560 passengers as part of her two-part inaugural ‘Silk Road Sea Route’ voyage which started in Rome, Italy on May 21 and will finish in Shanghai, China on July 9.

After a short stayover, the Majestic Princess will continue its maiden 21-day cruise to Shanghai via Xiamen, China; Hong Kong; Yokohama and Osaka, Japan; and Incheon (Seoul), the Republic of Korea.

We are thrilled for Majestic Princess to call at Ho Chi Minh City, said Farriek Tawfik, director of Southeast Asia at Princess Cruises.

The ship is fully booked with guests from across the world such as the US, UK, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore.

We are delighted these guests have shown great enthusiasm in wanting to sail on our new ship to try out her exciting new features which deliver an exceptional cruise experience.

Majestic Princess is the third ship in Princess Cruises’ Royal-class ships, alongside Regal Princess and Royal Princess, and is the line’s first cruise ship to be designed specifically for Asian guests.

The vessel offers multiple new innovations for Asian travellers.

Majestic Princess is the newest, most stylish and most luxurious flagship in our fleet, said Tawfik.

She is stunningly beautiful and equipped with world-class facilities such as the largest duty-free shopping at sea, Princess Luxury Beds which are specially designed by a sleep specialist and dinner menus from Michelin-star awarded chefs.

In early 2018, Majestic Princess is to sail two 14-day Grand Asia voyages between Shanghai, China and Singapore.

Available to guests worldwide, both sailings will take guests to destinations in Japan, the ROK, Vietnam and Thailand, and include a late-night call in Hong Kong.

The first voyage departs Shanghai on February 25, and the second will depart Singapore on March 11.
