HCM City leaders congratulate Lao people on Bunpimay festival
VOV.VN - A delegation of Ho Chi Minh City led by Tat Thanh Cang, Vice Secretary of the municipal Party Committee, visited the Consulate General of Laos on April 6, sending their best wishes to its staff and the Lao people on Bunpimay (New Year) festival.

He said that the City has always given special attention to enhancing its ties of traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and special solidarity with Laos, and has actively implemented its agreements with Lao localities.
Lao Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City SomxaySanam-Oune thanked the HCM City leaders for the support they have offered to the Consulate General in recent times, particularly in organising a “week to introduce Lao products” event in the City, hoping that they will continue to assist in holding such events in the coming years.
He said the two countries share many similarities and have close knit and indispensable relations. Last year, they organized many friendly and cooperative activities to mark the 55th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Amity and Cooperation.
He hopes that the two countries, including HCM City, will hold more friendly and cooperative activities to consolidate their sound traditional ties, and aid the strong development of both nations.
