Thua Thien Hue police seize 1,200 packs of cigarettes

VOV.VN - The police force in the central province of Thua Thien Hue have seized a vehicle which was illegally transporting a large quantity of goods with undocumented origins.

The police discovered the car, owned by Nguyen Thi Mai, 51, with an address in Hue City’s Phu Thuan ward, carrying 1,200 packs of Zet branded cigarettes and three tons of sugar. The goods were concealed inside coal bags stashed underneath the car.

At the police station, Ms Mai admitted to police that she had hired a driver to transport the goods from the Lao Bao border gate to Hue city for consumption.

At present, Thua thien Hue police have temporarily confiscated the goods while they await a decision from law enforcement agencies.
