Vietnam’s national U23 football team will play in two friendly tournaments to prepare for the upcoming 26th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in Indonesia.

As scheduled, the squad will convene at Thanh Long sports centre in Ho Chi Minh City on September 22 to play Singapore, Syria and the Republic of Korea for the HCM City Cup.

The team will then compete against Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand for the VFF Cup in Hanoi from October 19-23.

The Hanoi competition, organized by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), aims to help Vietnamese players gain experience from the region’s most powerful football clubs, who are considered top seeds at the 26th SEA Games.
