VOV.VN - Vietnam sent more than 146,000 guest workers abroad over the past 11 months, including 74,000 to Japan, according to statistics released by the Department of Overseas Labor under the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

In November alone the country sent a total of 13,511 migrant workers abroad, including 5,833 female workers.

Japan remains the top recipient of Vietnamese migrant workers with 6,804, followed by Taiwan (China) with 3,907, the Republic of Korea with 1,857, China with 116, Singapore with 121, and Hungary with 221.

With the increase in the number of guest workers to the East Asian nation, Vietnam tops the list of 15 countries which are dispatching interns or guest workers to Japan.

Furthermore, it is also one of the markets favoured by Vietnamese workers due to having the best working conditions along with a high income.

This year has seen the highest number of Vietnamese workers head to Japan, both in terms of the number of workers going annually at about 85,000 and the number currently working in Japan at over 300,000.
