Four killed and five injured in head-on bus collision overnight in Dong Nai
VOV.VN - Four people were killed and five others were seriously injured following a head-on collision between two passenger buses in the southeastern province of Dong Nai on September 30.
The accident happened at around 2:40 a.m. on September 30 at section km48 of National Road 20 in Phu Vinh commune of Dinh Quan district in the southern province of Dong Nai.
A sleeper bus travelling from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat collided with a 16-passenger bus heading in the opposite direction.
Four people in the 16-passenger bus died at the scene, whilst five others who were also on the 16-passenger bus were injured. They were immediately transferred to Dong Nai General Hospital and Cho Ray Hospital for emergency treatment. The cause of the fatal crash is currently under further investigation.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has asked relevant agencies and units to mobilise health workers, medicine, and medical equipment in order to save the injured people, conduct procedures related to the deceased, and visit the families of the victims.
Dong Nai authorities have also been requested to promptly overcome the aftermath of the serious traffic accident.
