Deputy PM: Vietnam welcomes WB’s MIGA support

Vietnam hopes to receive more support from the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), a member of the World Bank (WB) group for projects in Vietnam, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue said.

During the April 27 reception for WB Vice President Karin Finkelston, who is also MIGA Chief Operating Officer, the Deputy PM thanked the official for her support for Vietnam.

The Agency has helped enhance trust among foreign investors in Vietnam, thus increasing investments, Deputy PM Hue said.

He expressed his hope that the agency will continue supporting Vietnam, particularly in infrastructure facilities, energy and insurance fees.

The MIGA Chief said she hopes the visit will contribute to fostering cooperative ties between the WB as well as the MIGA and Vietnam in various fields.
